Mohawk Nation: The weather forecast for our area starting Tuesday between noon and 3pm is calling for the accumulation of 5-8+ inches of snow. We will continue to monitor the weather forecast the next few days but it may result in the district needing to have an early release from school on Tuesday, February 18 in order for students and staff to get home safely. We will make that decision as early as possible in order for you to make proper plans for your children. With the snow accumulation predicted and the cold temperatures it could affect the remainder of the week as to whether we can have school. We will keep you updated as new information is obtained. Mohawk Nation: There have been changes to the tournament schedule for the 2A-3 District Tournament in Rector due to possible inclement weather next week. Monday games have been moved to Saturday, February 15, 2025. The Piggott Mohawks will play Cross County at 2:30pm tomorrow. The games scheduled for Tuesday have been moved to Monday, February 17, 2025. The Lady Mohawks will now play Monday, February 17 v. Bay Lady Yellowjackets at 4pm. Come out and support our Mohawks!

Mohawk Nation: Game time for the Senior High Girls and Boys games have been changed for February 11, 2025 v. Hoxie. Senior girls will now start at 5pm with Senior Night Activities to follow the Sr. Girls game. Senior Boys will play immediately following Sr. Night Activities. On Monday, February 10, we will have a Make*A*Wish fundraiser at PES! Students will be allowed to wear their pajamas to school for any donation. We will compete
between the classes to see who can bring the most money!

Mohawk Nation: After a couple days of battling the sickness, we seem to be turning the corner. So with that being said, the Piggott School District, ABC Pre School, and Lil Mohawk Daycare will re-open Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at normal times. We appreciate everyone's patience during this time!

Mohawk Nation: Due to the increased number of cases of the flu among our staff, the Piggott School District, Pre School, and Lil Mohawk Daycare will be closed Tuesday, February 4, 2025. We apologize for the inconvenience. All buildings have been sanitized today, so when it's safe to do so, we will resume school.
Mohawk Basketball games v. Corning will be played tomorrow night at Piggott. This will be a four game night starting at 4pm with Jr. Girls followed by Jr. Boys, Sr. Girls, and Sr. Boys. Remember part of the admission will be donated to cancer research and bring a new stuffed animal to do the Teddy Bear toss during the Sr. Girls game.

Mohawk Nation: Due to the increased illness within our district, the Piggott School District, Pre-School and Daycare will be closed Monday, February 3, 2025 for on-site instruction so we can properly sanitize our classrooms.
All 12 month employees will report to their respective buildings and communicate with their supervisors.
Sr. Girls will travel to Cross County to play their make up game and the Boys games scheduled for tomorrow will be played on Tuesday, February 4 v. Corning with only our junior and senior high teams playing.

Interim testing will begin next week. Please encourage your child to do their best. Students that score at level 3 or 4 or show individual growth will be rewarded with inflatables at a later date.
Tomorrow is the 100th day of school, just a reminder that your child is able to dress up that day as a 100 year old person. All kindergarten students will parade down the hallways to show off their outfits that morning.
