Art Club members need to turn in their intent forms for the 6 Flags trip to Mrs.Tate by today - Wednesday, April 9th. 

After Prom forms need to be turned in ASAP.

The Boogie Woogie dance challenge for prom is back. The person or couple who dances the longest and with the best moves will win a trophy, Visa gift card from Piggott State Bank, and various other prizes.

Juniors: Prom decorating will be going on every day after school this week. Plan to come help as much as possible!

Prom banquet tickets are now available for students and teachers to purchase. They are $15.00. See Ms. Jo in room 218.

Dance 8:00-10:00

We have some band students doing a coffee and tea fundraiser, until the end of this week, to raise money for band camps this summer.  See Mr. Allman if you are interested.

FBLA Members: Little Ceaser Pizza Kit delivery has been moved to April 16th. Please make sure you have a way to get all your pizza kits home on that day. I would advise a parent to pick you up so you can deliver them to your buyers after school as they have to stay frozen!

The spring vaccine clinic will be April 23. Forms must be signed and returned to the office/ school nurse by April 23 to participate.

BRTC CTC applications are available in Mrs. Amber’s office.   Turn in application and letter of recommendation to Mrs. Amber as soon as you can.  Classes will fill up.

Blood Drive - April 25 - you must be at least 16 years old and if you are 16, you will need a permission slip.  Sign up with Mrs. Amber

Jr Fairboard applications are available in the main office.  They need to be turned in by April 14.

Math tutoring for 7th and 8th graders will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It will start right after school and last an hour.  Report to Room 218 when the last bell rings.

All High School FBLA members have been added to the FBLA Google Classroom and should check it regularly to stay updated.

  Students are not to park in the band parking lot, Dollar General lot, or church parking lot. Legal drivers must park in the main parking lots only. See Mrs. Amber for a parking tag.

Students - once you are on school property in the mornings, you are not allowed to leave.  This goes for car riders, bus riders, and walkers.  

Students, A public display of affection (PDA) is any intimate act between two or more people that others can see. Examples include kissing, hugging, holding hands, arms around each other, or caressing.  Remember that lunch detention will be assigned.

Canned drinks are still not allowed in the classrooms or hallways.  They are only allowed in the cafeteria at breakfast or lunch.  



Senior Information

The Clay Conservation District Agricultural Scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber’s office.  The criteria used to award this scholarship are - intent to pursue a degree in agriculture, financial need of the student, and academic performance/involvement in school and community activities.  Deadline is April 25.

The Hannah Blankenship Memorial Scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber’s office.  Applicant must be a young lady pursuing an agricultural field of study. We are doing things a bit different this year and ask that the application and all supporting documents be sent to ablankenship7288@gmail.com by April 13, 2025.  We will choose the winner by April 30, 2025.

The Clay County Cattleman’s Association scholarship application is available.  They are awarding a scholarship if you are pursuing a degree in animal science and/or agriculture.  See Mrs. Amber for a link.  Deadline is April 18.

This is a  minimum of $1500 awarded over 2 semesters.  The scholarship will be awarded to an applicant based on future career goals.  Deadline is midnight May 2, 2025.

*BRAD Plan2Succeed Educational Scholarship Application is available in Mrs. Amber’s office.  Deadline March 31 - turn in to Mrs. Amber

1. Must be 18 years of age or older, or will be 18 by Sept. 30th 2025

2. Household must meet Agency eligibility requirements (for details, call 870.202.1353)

3. Must provide proof of enrollment at educational institution before Sept. 30th 2025 (scholarship award will be distributed to the educational institution, not the applicant, upon enrollment provision)

4. Must be a current year graduating high school senior with plans to attend a higher education institution.

5. Must be willing to allow periodic contact with Agency to explore progress of self-sufficiency and goals of whole family (see consent form above)

6. Student’s family must reside within Clay, Lawrence, or Randolph Counties.
