Any Jr high or Sr high student that will be playing sports next school year or in Marching Band will have the opportunity to get a physical during school next Thursday May 16. You will need to get a physical form from your coach to take home for your parents to fill out, and then bring them back to school. You will be called out during the day at some point and then return to class. 

 

*Next year's 8th and 9th graders wanting to play volleyball, there will be tryouts from 3:15 to 5:15 in the new gym on Monday May 20th.

*Next year's 10th thru 12th graders wanting to play volleyball, there will be tryouts from 3:15 to 5:15 in the new gym on Tuesday May 21st. 

 

Mrs. Allman will be selling sodas, water, pickles, candy, and chips out of her classroom (231) on Friday between classes and during Advisory. Sodas, chips, and candy are $2. Pickles and water are $1. 

Extra yearbooks are available to purchase for $55.

 

Students interested in taking concurrent classes for next school year, see Mrs. Amber for registration and paperwork.  You must have qualifying scores to take any college classes.  See Mrs. Amber for information if you are interested.

 

ASU concurrent representative will be here on May 13 during Advisory to meet with students interested in taking College Psychology or Sociology

 

The Clay County Junior Fair Board applications are available in the main office. 

 

Any sophomore or junior interested in applying for a BRTC CTC program for next school year, see Mrs. Amber for an application.  The application along with a letter of recommendation letter is due ASAP

 

The only students who should be exiting through the band room at the end of the day - are band students picking up their instruments.

Students – you do not need to park in the handicap parking spot at the church and do not block the door.  If you have not received a parking pass and need one – see Mrs. Amber

Students, if you are NOT a bus rider, you must wait in the classroom until the second bell.  Only students who are bus riders that day leave on the first bell. 

Seniors

·        Baccalaureate will be Wednesday, May 15 @ 6:00 at First General Baptist Church

·        Seniors, you are invited to breakfast on the day of graduation practice May 17th. Breakfast will be served at regular school time (8:00) in Mrs. Little's classroom.

·        May 17 Graduation practice – this is mandatory

·        I have posted a list of Honor Graduates on my door.  If you think you should be on the list and are not, please see me. 

·        Sr lunchroom accounts must be paid in full before Graduation.  Your parent should be getting a text if you have a balance.  You can ask me if you need to know your balance.

·        If you have received a scholarship that you want me to announce at Graduation, please email me by May 15.

·        If you need a final transcript sent to a college, email me where I need to send it.

·        Ford Motor Company is awarding a Ford Auto Tech Scholarship. As you all know we have an awesome Automotive program at BRTC and this scholarship would greatly benefit any students who would like to enroll.  See Mrs. Amber for a link
