TEACHERS: There will be a mandatory testing meeting on TODAY after school.
Juniors and Seniors: The deadline to turn in After Prom contracts has been extended until this Friday, April 5. If you do not turn in a contract, you will not be able to attend the After Prom activities. No walk-ins will be permitted. Also, you can still order t-shirts until Friday.
Seniors: Baccalaureate service will be on Wednesday, May 8 @ 6:30 at First General Baptist Church.
Good luck to our Sr High Chess team (Justice Midkiff, Colton Haywood, Trey Cavaness, and Corbin Chronister) as they compete in the state tournament in Bald Knob on Saturday.

Senior High Cheerleaders will be excused today from**1:00-1:45 for a meeting. Junior High Cheerleaders will be excused from 1:45-2:30. Those students interested in being a rider for the Donkey Basketball Game must see Mrs. Little by next Wednesday, April 10 to sign up and pick up a permission slip. Riders must be 15 or older. The game will be the Thursday night before Easter Break (April 18) in the middle gym at 6:30.

All Middle Level FBLA members who plan to attend the end of year trip to Ultimate Air need to turn in your all your papers and money by tomorrow (WEDNESDAY). Turn them into Mrs. Veal.
Any Senior High FBLA member wanting to attend Teen Truth Live at Six Flags on Thursday, May 9 should bring $30 to Mrs. Peters no later than Friday, April 5. You must have participated in the fundraiser or made a donation to be eligible to attend.
There will be a Sr. High Track meet Thursday at Pocahontas. Please dismiss the Sr Track members at 1:30??. Softball and Baseball will play at home on Thursday.

Clay County Junior Fair Board Applications are in the office. Application due date is April 8. Application forms are in the office.
The 2019 Mini Mohawk Cheer Clinic sponsored by the PHS Cheerleaders will be April 15-18 in the PES Gym for students who will be in Kindergarten through 6th Grade in 2019-2020 school year. Sign-up letters were sent home this week. Daily snacks and a t-shirt will be given to each participant.

Seniors: The Clay County Arts Council / Fine Arts Scholarship Application is available in Mrs. Amber's office. Deadline is April 10 - turn in to Mrs. Amber. Even if your nominee does not intend to MAJOR or MINOR in any of the arts, IF HE/SHE IS intending to return to Clay County and work even in a volunteer role to further the arts, that would be important.
School Choice deadline is May 1.
Saturday, April 13, there will be a nursing expo at the UALR campus. If you are interested, see Mrs. Amber for more details.
***Black River Technical College (BRTC) Pocahontas is having a Nursing Assistant class. This class will run from May 29-June 20th and is an evening class from 3:15-10:15 p.m. There will 4 Clinical days. This class will train you to qualify for the Arkansas State CNA Exam. This program is open to students age 16 and up. Orientation will be on April 29th at 4 pm and is required. --We now have our Grab'n'Go cart set up in the high school cafeteria. Any student that didn't get breakfast will have a chance to eat again during the Activity period. It will be quick foods not hot foods. You must stay in the cafeteria with the food.

Applications for the Arkansas Rural Education Scholarship for School employee's child is available. Due date is April 5, 2019. See Mrs. Amber or Mrs. Conley for application.
Seniors: The Kalem Rouse Memorial Scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber's office. Graduates planning to major/minor in Agriculture or in a Vo-Tech program are encouraged to apply.
SENIORS: The Local Scholarship applications are on the website under the MENU: Senior Info/Scholarships. Deadline for local scholarship application is this Friday, April 5, 2019.
Gaylon Lawrence Memorial Scholarship application is also in this folder. Deadline for GL Scholarship is May 1, 2019. All of these are fillable scholarship applications that can be completed and printed.

Seniors: The Farm Bureau scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber's office. You must have at least a 2.5 GPA and be a child or grandchild of an active Clay County Farm Bureau member. Preference goes toward students majoring in agriculture or the medical field but it isn't a requirement. Deadline is April 15, 2019
