The February Driver's Test will be Tuesday, Feb. 26.
Congratulations to the FCCLA Chapter in Review Team (Ashlyn Roberts and Kaylee Smith) for receiving Gold at the state competition and advancing to Nationals in Anaheim, CA. Jordon Leggett recieved Silver in Promote and Publicize, Adel Fuwell and Micha Ermert also received Silver in Advocacy. So proud of all participates.
Congratulations to the Piggott Mohawk Weight Team for being yesterday's Champs in the Invitational Weight Meet.
Congratulations to the Piggott FFA for placing 3rd Overall in the NEA Weld-a-thon at ASU-N yesterday. They brought home over $5000 worth of prizes and scholarships.
Thank you to all who helped raise money for the Make-A-Wish foundation with fundraisers and the bucket brigade. Piggott raised $14,700.92
Tuesday, Feb 19 was the last day to turn in AMI packets Days 2-5. TEACHERS: Please send Mrs. Shamala the AMI absences ASAP.
We now have our Grab'n'Go cart set up in the high school cafeteria. Any student that didn't get breakfast will have a chance to eat again during the Activity period. It will be quick foods not hot foods. You must stay in the cafeteria with the food.
MEETINGS THIS WEEK:
Cheer tryouts for the 2019-2020 school year will be March 15. Tryout clinic will be March 11-March 14. Sign up sheets and information packets are in the office.
Auditions for the spring production by the Drama Club will be from 4:30 to 6:30 on Tuesday, Feb. 26, and Thursday, Feb. 28th. Students must pick up an audition packet and conflict sheet and return them before they audition. Packets will be available by Wednesday of this week.
MONDAY, FEB 25, There will be a meeting for the Ark. Junior Historians in #207 during activity period.
TUESDAY, FEB 26, There will be a Spanish Club meeting for Officers Only in Mrs. Cheng's classroom.
WEDNESDAY -There will be a Drama Club meeting during activity period on Wednesday, Feb. 27th. All club members need to attend, because we will discussing the spring play and the field trip to Beauty and the Beast.
WEDNESDAY-- FCCLA -Sadie Hawkins: All proceeds will be given to the Cody Shaw Family, so when see these boys and/or the girls carrying cans please donate and help out! All money for Sadie Hawkins must be turned in this Wednesday, Feb 27. You only have a few days left so don't forget to check with others in the community about donating for Cody. The ceremony is this Thursday during activity period and word is that Cody will get to be here.

Students who wish to attend the Drama Club field trip to see Mamma Mia at Paragould on Feb. 22nd need to see Miss Vernon to turn in their permission slips and pay $15 for their tickets ASAP.

Juniors and Seniors: There are sign up sheets in the office to sign up for after prom and for them to include there dates that they will be taking with them.
The junior class is selling Boston Butts for an After Prom fundraiser. They will be 25.00 dollars. If you would like to order, please let Sherry Taylor know. They will be ready for pick up on Saturday, March 9th at the PHS Gym. See Mrs. Jean in Room #218 for tickets.

Seniors: Farm Credit scholarship is available online at farmcreditmidsouth.com/community/scholarships - deadline is March 8, 2019. Applicants must be sponsored by a Farm Credit Midsouth customer.
Seniors: American Legion scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber's office. Must be child, grandchild, or great grandchild of American Legionnaire. Application must be received at their department on or before March 12, 2019.
Seniors: MFA scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber's office. Deadline is March 15, 2019. Consideration goes to applicants furthering their education related to agriculture or other fields of study that benefit rural life.
SENIORS: The Arkansas School Plant Management Association scholarship application is for any graduating senior planning to attend a college/university, vocational-technical or trade school who has at least a 3.0 GPA and at least a 19 on the ACT. You must complete the application, essay, and 2 recommendation letters. See Mrs. Amber, Mrs. Conley, or Ms. Rachel for more information. Deadline is April 1.
Seniors: The Hannah Blankenship Memorial Scholarship is available in Mrs. Amber's office. This scholarship will be awarded to a young woman pursuing an agricultural field of study. Applications must be submitted by April 1.
Applications for the Arkansas Rural Education Scholarship for School employee's child is available. Due date is April 5, 2019. See Mrs. Amber or Mrs. Conley for application.
